In addition to his artistic practice, he serves as an Art Instructor at Neerja Modi School, Jaipur, while continuing to receive accolades for his creative achievements.

Himmat Gayri’s work focuses on the concept of “Devra,” sacred sites found within the rural settlements of the Aravalli mountain range in Rajasthan. These shrines, dedicated to lok devatas and lok devis, serve as spiritual centers shaped by local beliefs and folk traditions. His in-depth study, centered in Udaipur and southern Rajasthan, examines how faith and religious expression manifest through these sites. By documenting the clay icons and unshaped stones that represent deities, his work sheds light on the deep-rooted spiritual practices of pastoral communities, offering a nuanced exploration of devotion and its architectural significance.
