At 16, he moved to Tamil Nadu to study at the prestigious Kalakshetra Foundation, graduating in 2020. His passion for photography emerged during his time as a dance student, leading him to capture the grace and essence of movement through the lens. After teaching at Isha Foundation Samskriti and working at a leading photography studio in Chennai, he transitioned into full-time dance photography, collaborating with renowned artists. Expanding his artistic repertoire, he pursued a diploma in Fashion Photography at FAD
International Academy, Mumbai, under Victoria Krundysheva, further refining his visual language.
Rishi’s artistic practice is deeply influenced by the aesthetics of Indian classical dance, costume design, and cultural symbolism. His latest series, Rising Dunes, explores themes of strength, resilience, and feminine power. Inspired by nature’s ability to shape and redefine landscapes, the series portrays a woman emerging from the shadows, her flowing hair symbolizing freedom, passion, and an unbreakable spirit. Through his work, Rishi seeks to merge movement, identity, and visual storytelling, celebrating the timeless grace of Indian tradition while expanding into contemporary fashion photography.
