Srinivas Pulagam

Is a visual artist from Andhra Pradesh, specializing in painting and printmaking. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Painting from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (2015), and his Master’s in Printmaking from M.S. University, Baroda (2018).

His work explores the grandeur of Indian heritage and mythology, blending theatrical representations of divinity with intricate symbolism. His art has been showcased in exhibitions such as Stories from the Land of Jamun (Arts4all and Mosa, Belgium), Shifting Seasons (Palette Art Gallery, New Delhi), Reflections (Gallery Veda, Chennai), and Garland of Memories (Champa Tree, New Delhi). Actively involved in workshops, residencies, and art camps, he continues to expand his artistic dialogue from his base in Vadodara, Gujarat. Pulagam’s artistic practice delves into the visual language of Indian iconography, drawing inspiration from temple architecture, mythology, and symbolic representations. His compositions highlight the grandeur of divine figures, unraveling the deeper philosophical messages hidden within traditional aesthetics. A recurring theme in his work is the representation of animals as vahanas—sacred vehicles of the gods—symbolizing power, beauty, and the intrinsic connection between nature and spirituality. His paintings are an ode to the rich, layered narratives of Indian art, capturing the poise, tranquility, and philosophical depth that transcend time. Through his visual storytelling, he seeks to awaken human consciousness, offering viewers an immersive experience that celebrates India’s artistic and spiritual heritage.
